Giving back is at the heart of our business. When you choose our private label brand, you're helping us support our community. We donate 10% of all earnings to local charities. We were thrilled to partner with Girls On The Run (GOTR) Great Lakes Bay in 2023 and 2024, and we're excited to continue our partnership in 2025!
Girls on the Run (GOTR) Great Lakes Bay inspires girls in 3rd-8th grade to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun curriculum which creatively integrates running, walking, and other physical activities. Trained volunteer coaches guide and mentor girls in small groups twice a week, and over the course of the 10-week season, girls learn that their worth comes from within, that healthy relationships matter, and that they can be a force for good in their community. The program culminates with girls positively impacting their communities through a service project and completing a non-competitive 5K event that celebrates confidence through accomplishment.
Why is Girls on the Run important? As early as age 9, girls self-confidence begins to decline. Fifty percent of girls age 10-13 experience bullying such as name-calling and exclusion at a time when peer relationships become more central to girls' lives. Additionally, physical activity levels decline starting at age 10 and continue to decline throughout adolescence. But, it doesnt have to be this way. GOTR lessons promote social-emotional learning and give girls tools to successfully navigate life experiences. Each session uses physical activity and engaging lessons to encourage girls to stand up for themselves and others and practice empathy, inclusion and acceptance.
