Unisex FuelCell Flite-D Track Spike

New Balance FuelCell Flite-D - Go the Distance with Speed The New Balance FuelCell Flite-D is engineered for the tactical racer who needs to maintain top-end speed over multiple laps. Unlike pure sprint spikes, the "D" is tuned for middle and long-distance events, providing just enough cushion to keep the legs fresh for a final kick. Inspired by the grit required for a 1600m or 3200m race, this spike is a staple for Michigan track athletes looking to dominate the competition. Whether you're racing under the lights in Saginaw or chasing a personal best in our neighboring communities, the Flite-D is your secret weapon for the long haul. Technological Performance FuelCell Midsole: A high-rebound, nitrogen-infused foam that provides a propulsive feel while absorbing the impact of repetitive laps. 4-Pin Pebax® Plate: A flexible yet snappy plate that provides optimal traction and a smooth transition for distance events. Breathable Air Mesh Upper: Designed to keep the foot cool and secure during the heat of competition. Streamlined Silhouette: Minimized overlays and materials to keep the weight exceptionally low for long-duration races. Anatomical Fit: Contoured to the foot to ensure a "second-skin" feel that prevents slipping during fast turns. What’s New Refined FuelCell Compound: Updated to offer a slightly softer landing without losing the energy return needed for a fast finish. Lighter Mesh Construction: A new weave in the upper reduces weight while increasing structural support for cornering. Enhanced Heel Support: Subtle updates to the heel collar provide a more secure fit for athletes who land slightly further back during longer races. Versatility for Every Mover Power Your Run: Specifically built for distance track events ranging from the 800m up to the 5000m and 10,000m. Walking & Daily Motion: Given the rigid plate and metal pins, these are strictly for the track—walking through the grocery store in these would certainly turn heads, but we don't recommend it! Reliable Comfort for Every Shift: While we appreciate the speed of our local medical professionals, retail staff, and service workers, these spikes are best left in the gym bag; let’s find you some Fresh Foam for the workplace instead. Our team at Runners Athletic Company is here to help every student-athlete and master racer find their stride. Visit us in Saginaw, Midland, Mt. Pleasant, or Bay City to get your spikes expertly fitted before your next big meet.
